I do not have the money to pay the bank back but I DO plan on paynig back the money when I CAN.

Stealing from the bank? Sure you can be arrested. You SHOULD be arrested.

things can vary by state and by bank. where I live and the bank I work at it would turn out as follows. your account is overdrawn and if it stays that way for 45 days it will be charged off. you can still go to the bank and make payments or pay it off in full but if you don't it will go to a collection agency, it will be on your credit report and you will not be able to bank anywhere else until it is cleared up because banks all report to a central place that is part of the pre screening process for any new account. my advice, make payments, make small deposits to your acct as much as possible to show you are trying. when and if it gets charged off continue to go to the bank and make payments until it is cleared up. you may want to contact the bank and ask them their policy for overdrawn accts.. how long it can be that way before being charged off. more than likely for the amount you have said you will not be arrested but it is a misdemenor and you could be in trouble legally if the bank pressed the issue. And lastly, DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN. You should be scared.

Grand larceny will get you 5 to 10 years in jail. The bank knows and has (by law) reported it to the police. There is a good chance the police have gotten a warrant issued for your arrest.

Sell your computer, your car, your dog, whatever you have and get that money to the bank as soon as possible!

Or get ready to be some convict's punk boy!

My bank won't allow withdraws based on ATM deposits until the ATM is balanced. This is the reason why. What you did IS fraud and you should at least wind up with a criminal record. I don't know if you will. Several people have put ATM deposit envelopes in the mail instead of the ATM.

What are you 16? I think you should go to jail, that is stupid! Just to get a pair of shoes or something from the mall. You should call the bank and tell them what you did

I don't know the amount of trouble your are going to be in because of the amount ($200) but I hope you get rid of your friend.

Yes you can be charged with a crime and be arrested.

So you had better sell something, work at a day labor place or do something. Borrow it from your friend.

But if you don't do something fast, they can and most likely will press charges

You potentially just ruined your chance at getting a decent job or establishing credit until you fix this.

Good luck, look behind you. I do believe that is a felony. Yep you can and will most likely be arrested.

It's called kiting, it's a crime; penalties vary by state. It's usually a misdemeanor.
