I have to ask this because I've seen on many occasions that when someone is biting their nails, I seldom see them spit them out. So, they must be swallowing them. What are some of your responses to this?

its just a bad habit.. i bite mine and eat em its weird u dont even think about it.. dont judge :)

i don't think that nail biters do either really. they are chewing on the nail out of habit not biting them to pull them off like a clipper would.
i have my nails done so i don't bite them anymore but i still will chew on them at times when i am stressed. they might start to break off and then you just pull it out of your mouth while it is still attached. no spitting or swallowing.

I used to. The trick to no longer biting them is to place nail polish on, and that i hate the style of nail polish. (if ur a guy you could placed of a sparkling coat no person will observe) additionally the closest I come to biting them is that if i'm frightened I chew the perfect of my figernail, yet no longer complicated sufficient to placed on the nail breaks.

My response is "UGH." That is really gross. I hope they don't swallow them. Spitting them out is gross also.

i bite my nails all the time but i don't eat 'em. wierd.
