Is it bad to say happy birthday to an ex if if it's been OVER for a little more than one year? My ex-boyfriend's b-day is comig up in April, & I'm not sure if I should say something or not. If i do say something ,I will NOT call him, but I will either send him a very short & casual email or just say something on msn. HE was the one who ended the realtionship last year and we dated for a short while. We never had sex cuz he knew I'm saving myself for marriage. Also, he use to say hi to me on msn. And 2 months ago he called me & wanted to see a movie. I went with him, but he hasn't contacted me since. Would I seem desperate if I just tell him a casual birthday greeting?

As long as he hasn't asked you not to contact him an e-mail doesn't do any harm and doesn't sound desperate. Just don't be sappy - make it short and sweet like you're just an acquaintance.

I personally wouldn't your relationship isn't that close. If you two talk all the time and hung out together then it would be fine but that's not the situation in your case. I have the feeling the movie date was his way of double checking how he felt about you and he got his answer and moved on. I can also tell you if your waiting for marriage until you have sex you will go through a few guy;s before you find one who will wait also you might consider dating religious guys that might work better for you.

just say happy b-day while u pass him in scholl if you two go to the same school, or just say happy b-day on msn, dont get into a long convo with him on msn tho, jsut say hi and happy b-day and then if starts talking ba kthen go ahead but if not dont even bother!

im not a guy...but id still go for it...i still talk to my ex and did when he had a gf too. just cuz hes ur ex doesnt mean u cant wish him happy birthday or merry christmas or anything like that. so tell him happy birthday
