Tenor and soprano.

Branford plays a Guardala sax. He has several of them. He mostly played VIs before that, but he still plays Guardala horns and the mouthpiece made by Guardala for him.

Guardala saxophones are no longer in production.

In 1996, he recorded an album, "The Dark Keys". On it he played both a soprano and a tenor sax. He started playing alto at 15 years old. He started playing bari sax at age 20.
