How do I change the size of the menu bar in word doc?

I was told properties>appearance>font size - but which/where do i find properties?

If you want to increase the size of the icons on the toolbar click on the 'Tools' menu and choose 'Customize'. Click on the 'Options' tab at the top to bring it to the front. Just beyond half way down you will see 'Other' and below that 'Large Icons' click on this and the icons and the toolbars will be enlarged.
