both it really just depends on the situation.
I like outgoing guys right off the bat, just because im very loud and outgoing to so its only obvious that i would like them. But one of the disadvantages of like an outgoing guy is they're usually popular and they might have a lot of "girl" friends, so its hard for a girl to feel important to them
shy guys are always great as long as they open up later in the relationship. it is ok to be shy at first but if your still shy after we have been dating for a while then i would break up with the shy guy.
in other words just be who you are (yea i know it sounds cliche(sp?)) the right girl will find you!!!

I'm guessing you meant do girls prefer the shy guys or out going guys..... my answer is i prefer both.. i like a guy who is confident but not overly, a shy guy is sensitive and i like that in a guy too... it really depends on the girl but either way if you are a shy guy or outgoing there are plenty of girls that like both....
