When you hug him move your hand up and down( just a bit) his back 2-3 times. Or hug a bit tighter than you hug the other people. Make your hugs stand out from the pack. You have the perfect opportunity for flirting since you are in theater together. Lots of smiles and eye contact is good .And let him see how congenial you are with others.

compliment him. the secret is people love to hear about them selves. whisper something in his ear, but in a sorta sexy way. just be nice to him, if u think he dosn't like u then dont push it to much. be friends, get to know him, and let things flow as they may. if u push to much it he will just think ur a freak.
