We are going to a St. Patty's party next weekend and everyone was asked to bring an irish beer. My husband likes guineess, harp, and kilkenny's but we want to try something new.

Any suggestions?

If any one else mentions Killians (Coors Red) they should be shot. Killians is not Irish. I would suggest Beamish Stout or Caffrey's. However, make sure someone has the Guiness.

My personal favorite is Smithwick's (pronounced Smit-icks), the "h" and "w" are silent. It is made by Guiness, but is extremely smooth. I definitely prefer it over Killian's. Make sure you have an opener, since it's not a twist-off.
