laguna beach or malibu in southern california?
and why?

I would say Laguna, there are so many beautiful homes there, and the neighborhood in general is safe, for tips on buying I would contact a real estate agent and go after something that is on a foreclosure, you can get your hands on a beautiful property that is way under listed prices and on the ocean.

Laguna Beach is a lot better. It's prettier and more peaceful, and much easier to get to. The last time I was in Malibu, half of the highway had caved in and PCH was terribly backed up. And there's nothing there really. I mean it's pretty, but Laguna's better.

Both beaches have their perks...Like Malibu has the Villa Museum it is a part of the Getty Museum but you should call in advance for tickets. The pier is cool too.
BUT Laguna is real nice and has tons of shopping and the beach if you want to relax yep that is my choice! Laguna has really nice beaches and wonderful prestine shorelines...that would be my pic

to all i'm a local orange county resident living in lake forest and i'm only 15 min from laguna beach and can tell you i've been up and down the california coast from carmel beach to black beach in san diego and for me the top beach is:
LAGUNA BEACH! you can't beat it it's a quiet small beach with many shops and it sits on top of pch.
of all reviews of top beaches on west coast laguna beach keeps on top and people who's been there know why.

Malibu seems to be not as much fun to me. Laguna has more going on...Malibu is all about the name...

i think of people are frequently richer in Laguna sea coast. additionally, Laguna sea coast seems plenty cooler, i don't be attentive to why. If I have been you, i could have my e book take place in LAguna sea coast.
