We are catagorized as mammals because we give live birth,feed our young milk,have hair and are warm blooded.
Reptile are cold blooded,lay eggs and have no hair.
However the duckbillplatypus is warm blooded, has hair, feeds it's young milk but lays eggs and it is classified as a mammal.

Any animal with mammary glands to nurture the young is a mammal, by definition. Humans obviously fit.

We are categorized as mammals because we are warm blooded and have hair on our bodies. Other animals in the mammal category are bears, dogs, cows, and any other animal with fur. We are not fish, reptiles, birds, or amphibians.

I think we are more intelligent than "animals". Some people catorize themselves, but its just the way they want to be known as an excistance on Earth and be part of it.

We are warm blooded creatures. That makes us mammals. I have no issue with this, and it is almost foolish that others do.

i think a scientist tripped, hit his head, and said we came from animals. but we are warm blooded so that sort of makes us mammals.............but we are NOT animals!!!
