You can use the integral of the equation.

Assuming: y = x^3 - 3x^2 + 2

area = 1/4x ^4 - 9x^3 + 2x ... If I remember my hs math

S=Int 1 X^3-3x^2+2 dx

= (1/4)x^4-x^3+2x I 1

=1/4-1+2+(1/4)a^4-a^3+2a
=5/4 +(1/4)a^4-a^3+2a
a is hard to determine. a is approximatly -3/4
