I a writing a screenplay that takes place in the 1970's and I need an event (like a concert) that a group of people in their late teens to early 20's would drive a long distance to get to.

Keep in mind it takes place in the 70's (preferably the early 70's)

I believe that the 60s were considered the "Hippie" era and the 70s is when the brief "Disco" era took place. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one event could have been the movie Grease with John Travolta that may have been popular for young people to drive to at an outside drive in theatre.
