I am 19 and he is 31. I know the age gap is huge, but it seems like I am attracted to older men because their maturity level is so much higher than college aged guys. Most people look at this negatively, and I want to know how you guys feel?

It's the same advantages and disadvantages that go along with any relationship. It all depends on the two people in the relationship and how they make the relationship work. But I understand you completely on wanting to date someone with more life experience and with a higher maturity level than college guys.

The point id like to bring up is the fact that if you ever became more than just dating these men, there will always be a huge gap. When your 25 and ready to get married he will be 37 and when your ready to retire at age 55 he will be 67...and as terrible of a thought it can be don't forget that the life expectancy of men is shorter then women's.

Also when you meet these men they already have a lot more "Baggage" then you. Make sure you are ready for ex-girlfriends, ex-wives, and maybe even children before you get into serious relationships with these men.

From the outset, i could pick to assert I have not have been given any probs with massive age transformations in couples yet listed right here are some risks i think of take place: - he will extra effective than probably die till now you do meaning you would be on my own - no longer all of us likes previous/youthful couples and you will cop flack over that from friends, kin and strangers - he's in a various existence point - eg you're in simple terms commencing your occupation while he would be winding down for retirement, you would be on your top to start a kin yet he won't be and could no longer pick little ones this previous due - you at the instant are not experiencing stuff "new" as a pair, in basic terms you're - eg he's been traveling and so on so once you pass, its new and exciting for you yet he's already achieved it

It's not about the age difference. If you were both over 30 it would be no big deal. But at your age, I'm worried. Older men often take advantage and use girls in their late teens and early twenties. Many of them are married and hide it. Believe me I know. And I didn't listen either. Look beyond your feelings. Try to find someone closer to your age.

well its great for girls to date older men, but you have a pretty big age gap there. Older men are mature and know how to take care of themselves. 19 yr old girls are mature, but sometimes they dont have stable lives. But you are still kind of a kid, and you are in a whole different world from his. So, you guys would have less in common.

well if you really like this guy, then go date him. but why not date someone who is around your age, who has more in common with you?

I think the gap is a bit too big; his life is simply in a different area from yours. No offense, but your respective maturity levels are FAR apart.
