It's impossible to let him go without him getting hurt. You need to know that, first of all. I know it's really difficult to break up with a guy who is in love with you. I've done it before.
But the best way to do it is to just..explain to him that you don't feel the same anymore. Let him know that something has changed. He'll probably make you feel guilty, but don't. You can't lie to him, and you can't stay in a relationship that is a complete lie. It's just mean to keep leading him on like this.
So, since you don't want him to get hurt, break up with him now. The more you lead him on, the more he is going to get hurt.

Wow I would doing that. But the best way to do that is to explain to him how you really feel dont hold anything back let it all out so you wont have nothing else to hide. He would get hurt obviously but at least you didnt cheat or go with different guys while your still with him. Its time to move on and he need to know that as well. Be nice and calm that way he will know you still care about his feelings.
good luck and i hope you're making the right decision.

It's not gonna be easy but the best thing you can do is be honest. Cause then you have problems with other people if you make things bad. Like dump him badly or go sneaking around.. Remember cheaters never really win.... Tell him straight up and if there is no room for improvement then just tell him... Good luck.

He'll be hurt no matter how you do it. You must accept that. Do it gently, but be direct. There's no other way. Do NOT avoid it--that will only cause him more pain. Getting it done with quickly and directly will be the best way for him to move on.

It's gonna hurt either way so there's really no going around it. Just be honest and tell him how you feel. Sure, it will hurt, you will get anger from him...but being straight up and honest is really the only way.
Of course you could always do the.."It's not you, it's me" thing....

Quick.
Make it fast and as painless as possible. Yeah it will hurt him and yeah he will be mad but he'll get over it. The worst thing you can do is draw it out. If it aint workin, drop it. It hurts much more when there's confusion involved.
So make it clear, concise, and quick.

Just do it in a nice, caring way. My bf and I had to break up, both love each other, but we talked, all about it, and then said bye. So, my suggestion is to please sit down in person with him, and be honest. Yet, in a nice, diplomatic way. To try not to hurt his feelings.

ah just be honest with him.. the same thing you wrote i'm sure you can say.. that you no loner are in love with him. your hurting him more by being with him when you have these feelings towards him. its going to be hard but you have to do it cause the longer you wait the more he will be hurt and harder for you to do.
