Yes...for 6 years. Turned out I had sinus problems. I had to have surgery to clean them out.

I don't want to aggravate you by asking if you've seen an ophthalmologist, but have you? These doctors specialize in the eye. They can take a deeper look than a regular practitioner or an optometrist.
Pressure behind the eyes can be serious, as you probably know. It could mean diabetes or glaucoma. It could also be related to allergies.
I have that problem now. I recently relocated to one of the top allergy locations in America! *Believe me, I had no idea.*
I have incredible pressure behind my right eye. I've seen an allergist and he thinks treatment may ease it, but cautions if the medications do not significantly reduce the pressure soon, I need to return to the opthalmologist. *I saw one in March and was fine.*
Currently we both believe that the sinus pressure is causing the eye to feel severe pressure, as well as the orbit around it. This is the most congested side of my sinuses.
Hope this helps. I wish us both better health soon.

Here's two possible causes: blocked or inflamed sinuses, or a migraine-type event.

You could try some medication to see if sinuses are the cause. A sinus problem can sometimes be relieved by taking a decongestant (the original type of sudafed), and an expectorant (Mucinex). If you suspect that this could be caused by your sinuses, the doctor can order an MRI to look for possible causes.

Migraines are difficult to diagnose, and they sometimes cause very strange symptoms in some people. If you suspect migraine as a possible cause, Imitrex is one of the most widely prescribed medicines.

Maybe you have a tumor in front of your brain and behind your eyes. I saw a video of a person like that in my science class. See a physican before it's too late. The tumor might grow too big and burst, causing blindness.

Have you tried an opthamologist ( a medical dr specializing in eyes)? Not an optician.
It could be sinus problems, see an ENT - ear, nose and throat specialist?
If you are having vision problems, try a neurologist.

What test has your doctor performed? That would help in answering the question. You can email me if you like and I'll try to help, but you need to elaborate some. Thanks,

Were your optic nerves checked? You could have PTC.
