I have dark brown hair(a little darker than my avatar) shoule i get pink or purple highlights @ the back/botm?

when i say bottom i mean like hair underneath the top...i dont know how to explain it, but if someone understands PLEASE HELP!!

im actually kinda tan because of tennis, so would the purple look better?

Get streaks instead to bring out contrast in your hair.

A little frosty look to enhance your pretty looks...go for it.

It really depends on what look you are trying for. I know what you mean by underneath the top, and I, were I a female and was so inclined to do this, Would go with purple. Purple is a more majestic color, it is the color for royalty. It also would blend better with your natural hair color and probably highlight your facial features. Pink on the other hand would stand out more, and might attract more attention to your hair than you would like. Purple will grab someones attention while allowing attention to be shifted to your face. Pink won't. I hope that helps.

I say purple because you have darker hair. Make sure it still shows a little at the top though or else it will look sorta tacky and fake. What color eyes do you have if you have brown/purple, blue/pink. If you have grren or hazel I would actually go with red.

get flashes put through the underneath but id advise a bright red,vibrant blue or a pale blonde as these work best on darker hair. They will also help to enhance the natural 'shiny' look of your hair where as pink or purple will have a dulling effect.

do purple, i think that the purple will stand out better, but i would suggest a bold purple, and do chuncks it will look better, and i think that if u do them in the back underneithe like u are talking aboutit would look great, my hair is red bright red in the front like where my bangs are suppost to be and there is a red chunck on the left side in one stripe so that away i can wear my hair almost all blonde one day and more red the next day, i love it, but just remember that it is ur hair, and if ur not use to having stange colors in ur hair then take it easy on the dye to begin with, just untill u get comfortable with it, so good luck and i hope it turns out the way u plan

I have used a colour called Fuschia. Its a fairly bright deep pinkish/purple, more purple than pink, and looks great. You can only get it in a salon, but worth it. It also blends in better when your hair is getting longer, which a pink wont do, hence you will get longer results for your money.

i no what you mean and out of the two i would say purple as think pink bit to much,ive got dark brown hair and ive had the same what your thinking of doing but in a bright red or a caramel colour,it sounds weird explaining what you want in any colour but i get it..lol

I don't really like either, but probably purple, since it's darker. Pink seems to go more with blondes. And are you talking about the roots?

Um...yeah if you do highlight your back hair, depending on how you might want to 'light it, streak or dye, get pink. But since you have dark hair, a light rosy pink wil be seen. Alittle too dark pink or purple does NOT look right, unless you dye your hair blond then get it dark colored, but yeah you get it now, i hope.

OMG!! i love this question because i have dark black hair but blue highlights its soo cute they match my eyes!! but you should get pink tips @ the bottom of your hair because if you get purple it wont really pop the way pink will since you have brown hair!!!!

definitly pink, but also get ourhair done a little darker, it'll look great! Make sure its just the underneath layers though, too much pink is not nice! if you have a lot of layers it'll look really nice from the back but also around your ears (if you get what I mean), so that you top layers cover it but you can still see it from the front!
