Probably cause it is cheaper and the older characters/actors need work. Yet I agree, they need some fresh faces, although I do not like the new faces on there now. Like Willow(muppet mouth) or her brother. Bad choice of actors there. Still not used to the new Shawn D either. I have been watching it for over 25 years. I am 40. Hard to believe! My favorite soap. I thought it was funny how they brought back Chris Kosichek(sp) as Roman Brady. What a hoot! Reusable actors! Like we aren't aware!

There are a lot of old ladies such as myself who love to see the oldies return. The story lines with the young people just don't interest us. The producers of the soaps decided that they wanted to capture the younger audience so they started to create story lines with the younger characters. I think that they are beginning to realize that their main audience is not at all happy with the changes. I like how the children grow up so fast. Brady was born three days before my son. Brady is now in his mid-twenties. My son is only 15.
