What's in egg rolls?

What exactly is in an egg roll? They always look so good, but I dont want to eat it unless I know whats in it. lol.

Egg rolls usually have shredded cabbage,onion,carrots, bean sprouts,peas, rice noodles and if you like meat - ground or shredded pork,chicken or shrimp.

The best ones were the ones with cabbage, bok choy, cut up pork and bean sprouts (I haven't come across any of these in years). Dip them in sweet plum sauce and its yummy.
The ones today are now a surprise and not all that appealing anymore. They can have cabbage, carrots, peas and small morsels of pork, beef, or shrimp. Anything goes anymore, I guess.
If you love all vegetables you should be okay, as long as the spices are appealing and there is plenty of sauce.

A vegetable egg roll is your safest bet if you're picky--just some shredded veggies like cabbage--very yummy. The others have the shredded veggies but also can have chicken, pork, or shrimp. Dip them in some soy sauce.

SOme of them have shrimp in it, but usually eggrolls just have vegetables. Carrots, cabbage, and sometimes meat. They taste sooo good when they are cooked just right. I just prefer shanghai rolls because they usually don't have so much stuff in it. Just plain meat and sometimes a stucky sauce, if that sounds better 2 u.
