ok, here's the scenario. I REALLY like the guy who is four years older then me (which is a lot cause im 14) and even though I know he will never like me I still wish he would care about me at least as friend, (btw I have been feeling this way about him for 1 1/2 years). I went away to boardig school four months ago and I just came back because it didnt work out. I missed him a HUGE amount when I was gone and today came back to my theatre group to try out for a show, and he was there. he seemed happy to see me (he got the hottest haircut!!) and he actually noticed that I cut my hair differently from the last time I saw him. does this mean he kind of cares and notices me? I mean someone who sees you as dirt on the ground wouldnt notice that you got your hair cut after not seeing them for 4 months. what do you guys think?

he probally does care about you but in a little sister way. just keep him close as like a big brother.

I know it's tempting to read a lot into this little episode ... so don't, for your own sake. He's 18 years old and you're 14. Maybe he's just finally beginning to mature or maybe he was only trying to be nice to you. If before this incident he treated you "as dirt on the ground," why would you be interested in him anyway?

More than likely the age difference is significant enough that if he is noticing you it is in a kid friendly way. He seems nice, but you need to go for a guy closer to your age range. There is such a significant difference between 14 and 18. He is in a completely different life range. If he is interested in you "that" way, I would be worried that he is the wrong type of guy.

I think you're far too young for him, and I imagine he feels this way as well. I do not mean to be condescending in saying this; 18 versus 14 is simply a VERY large gap, as those four years contain a lot of maturity.

he might care a little bit but dont get your hopes up honey. that does mean he notices you though. he is 18 and your 14 i dont think hell ever really look your way relationship wise and it might take him a while to get to know you and care for you as a friend. your too young for him and hes not gonna look at you like that.

I'm not a guy but i think that you should take it slow I've been their so i know and believe me it's not easy liking someone a whole like then later getting your heart hurt please take your time because good thing come to those who wait

He probably sees you as a little sister and cares for you that way. I don't think college guys would like a freshman...kinda wrong...
