I was kind of surprised. It appears that the age to purchase any firearm is 18.

Looking through the summary of gun laws from the state of Wisconsin website, the state doesn't differentiate the types of firearms when it somes to sales:

http://www.lcav.org/states/wisconsin.asp#MinimumAgetoPurchasePossess

Here is a pretty good summary on firearm laws in the state of Wisconsin. However, I have yet to find a document that explicitly gives agre requirements other than 18 years old:

EDIT:

After seeing Whiskey Guy's answer, I checked out the AFT website. Here is the excerpt about the age to buy a firearm:

(website: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#f6 )

(F6) Does a customer have to be a certain age to buy firearms or ammunition from a licensee? [Back]

Yes. Under the GCA, long guns and long gun ammunition may be sold only to persons 18 years of age or older. Sales of handguns and ammunition for handguns are limited to persons 21 years of age and older. Although some State and local ordinances have lower age requirements, dealers are bound by the minimum age requirements established by the GCA. If State law or local ordinances establish a higher minimum age, the dealer must observe the higher age requirement.

Federal law (which each state must follow) sets the minimum age to purchase rifles/shotguns and their ammo at 19, and handguns/handgun ammo at 21. You can possess any of the mentioned firearms/ammos when supervised by an adult as long as you are over the age of 12.
