1/2 cup apple juice has 100 calories and the water has 0 calories. So, if you add 1/2 cup water to make 1 cup....you would still only be drinking 100 calories of apple juice and the same amount of sugar.

It would have the same sugar and calories as 1/2 cup of apple juice. It would have half the calories & sugar of one cup of apple juice.

No, it will still have the calories for 1/2 cup apple juice. However it is better than a full cup of apple juice.

Only if you drink half of it.
Will this concoction contain the same amount of apple juice?? The answer to this is yes. So where will the calories and sugar go?? No where. Whatever calories and sugar are in a half cup of apple juice will still be in your mixture.

Your question is not clear.
Drinking 1/2 a glass of apple juice has less sugar and calories than 1 full glass.
Mixing half and half doesn't do anything.

If 1/2cup of juice had 40mg of sugar and was 80 calories it would still have the same amount of sugar and calories but you would have 1cup instead of 1/2 cup in your glass.

Apple juice is once of the worse ones for sugar content. My diabetes educator told me to avoid all juices and just eat fresh fruit. It takes so much more apples to make juice than any other fruit because they are not as juicy as the others so the sugar content is a lot higher. Also other juices, even if they claim to be "No sugar added" are still high in natural sugar so should still be avoided if someone has to watch their sugar content.

If the serving is a full cup and equals to 100 calories and you take half of that then it will be 50 calories.

It would not change it at all. It would have the same amount of sugar and calories because you are not taking anything away. You simply added the water that does not have more sugar or calories.
