"Lolitta" and "cjdsmurf" have it right !!
Let me add this: Vit. E oil by Jason's, 45,000 units, about 8.00/bottle at healthfood stores works wonders. It may be a little late?? But, worth the try. W/the Vit. E oil at least 3x day; if that interferes w/your job; try some non-absorbent way to cover it till oil is absorbed. It has done wonders for me.
A lot depends on your skin type--even tho' I have VERY THIN SKIN, I have a HIGHLY active immune system, i.e. cuts almost heal before my eyes. And, a lot depends on your healing rate;but, as they said, you WILL see results; it may take a while, but, it is soooo worth it.
Try the Aloe; but for scars--I don't know. It def. would have helped the burn itself; and probably can help the bandaid remnants. Next time try LATEX FREE BANDAIDS; many are allergic to Latex and thus the marks you are describribing.
Many swear by Cocoa Butter; but, it doesn't do a thing for me.
Get both and swap out; or see if you! can tell which will work best for you.
The sooner you start, the better.
Arms take longer to heal than the chinbone, for example.
Experience.
Good Luck!

I would stay away from tanning that area for at least 6 months. Your skin is still healing most likely. The scar will take time to fade. I have a second degree burn scar on my wrist from hot caramel. I was burnt about 6 months ago and it's still there but fading everyday. It'll probably take about a year to fade to the piont you can't see it.

DON'T TAN IT! this will make it scar! the white indicates it was a severe burn. Keep it out of the sun and put aloe or Mederma on it regularly. Over time it will shrink and begin to fade

Most likely the pigment was damaged so it won't tan. I have worked in food service for over 20 years and have small white spots on my arms that never tan or change color.
