I have been goin nuts with my rotor warping ever since I put pads on last summer. Finally I put new pads and rotors on
that were Toyota. The "new" pads from last summmer were ceramic and had some minor cracks. Could this have been
the cause of my 9 months in rotor "hell" ? They were ceramic
btw and of cousrse after market. Brake shop kept turnin rotor
and telin me it was MY driving style and normal to toyoyas/
this would have caused warping my whole life then?

Hate to tell you this but your rotors are cooked. No amount of "turning a rotor " will correct this problem. Your ceramic pads have glazed over, causing a re-annealing of the rotor. The exceptional hard faces of ceramic pads caused localized heating during the first noticeable problem by you. The standard pads from Toyota are organic which create much less heat than semi,-full metallic and ceramic pads. Price all Toyota new rotors and pads and you'll have no more problems. If you want to chince out a little buy any American or Canadian rotors and buy Toyota or EBC Green Stuff brake pads. EBC and Wagner make extremely good rotors.

...with all "smaller" cars the rotors are not that good... the problem is not so much the pads... it's the "heat" and the "cool"... on the break, off the break... then in the rain you get a screaming-hot rotor and dunk it in a puddle....warp ! fry'd rotors... learn how to gently pump the breaks and stop more easly... those thin little rotors are warping from the heat...
