why do u teach that everyone can be "gods"? and that Jesus was one of the gods.
isn't this a same old lie that the devil has told us all the time - "that you shall be like GOD"

If Jesus taught it, would it be OK?
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
How about Paul in Galatians?
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did bservice unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
There are a dozen other scriptures, you would bother reading the Bible.

Satan didn't lie when he told Adam and Eve that, if they ate the fruit, they would be as the gods, knowing good and evil. Reading Genesis 3:22 would tell you that.
The lie was that, if they ate, they would not surely die.
Paul told the Romans and the Galatians (and who knows who else) that we are children of God, therefore, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Why wouldn't God want us to be as happy as He is? Why wouldn't He want for His children to have everything He has? What parent is so jealous that they would never allow their own child to grow up, become an independant adult, marry, have children, everything?

Joseph Smith said that mormons would go to hell if they dont repent as well.
but if you look at rev 3:21 and 21:7 you will find that jesus does invite mankind to sit in the throne of God. Those who overcome all things will inherit all things and Jesus will be OUR God and We will be his sons.

do you think when you die you stop gaining knowledge, for we are to do as Christ did to become Christ like. we are children of GOD there for if we choose so we can follow in the footsteps of our parents even are heavenly parents.. if you think you go to heaven and live in a puffy cloud and stop learning that's spiritual death. there's a reason the only thing we can take is knowledge, its the same pa tern in the spiritual world as here, that's why we're here to learn on a small scale. We create man in our own image( your children) we love them care for them and punish them. God is are family, That's why it say in GENESIS 1:26 "let US create man in OUR image and in OUR likeness" . God is not magic we are offspring of him that's why we're called his children

You are right about you second point. Many of the things that Mormons practice are the things that Jesus warned us of.
The most important thing Jesus warned of was "do not take any Gospels from Angels" (sorry I'm paraphrasing) but this is how the Mormon church is said to have been founded.
Sorry I'm not Mormon, but I have studied it. hope this helps, I like that you are doing quality research.
