This sounds indicative of Parvovirus...doesn't matter that your pup has not been around other dogs..unless bleach is used to clean where an infected dog has been, the virus lives on the area for 7 years...and can be contracted to your pup...Parvovirus is am emergency..the dog will not die from the virus itself, however WILL die from the dehydration that is caused from the virus...do this..when you pull up the skin on the back of the pup's neck( like as if the mother were carrying him/her) does the skin slowly roll back into place OR does it "snap" back quickly? if the first is your answer QUICKLY call the emergency service of your vet...If you do not treat Parvo your dog will most likely die....the pup needs to be on I.V. fluids and tamaflu..and given an anti emetic Please go to the Vet...if you are not responsible enough to have a dog..please do not let the dog suffer..they are like children..they are your responsibility to take care of...if you cannot afford the vacinations..you do not need a dog...sorry, but it is the truth..I'm pretty sure you aren't trying to be cruel as you are concerned enough to ask a question, however please do the resonsible thing!

Do NOT go get these shots at a pharmacy or co-op...giving your dog vacinations while they are ill can kill them!

Every pup should have their shots beginning at 6 wks,12,15,18 weeks .There are airborne diseases and people traffic germs on their shoes and cloths. If you can't afford to go to vet check out co-ops and shelters sometimes you can either buy the shots and give them yourself or get them cheaper.Call around ,call the vet asap and tell them what is going on and about your situation Asap. Also worming should be done every 1-2 weeks since birth and then 1Xper month forever!Heart worm Treatment is also a must for your Pet .There are many reasons why you must have vet care for your puppy if you want a healthy ,happy ,companion.Maybe it is not too late just seek medical treatment tomorrow it could be anything.Good Luck.In the meantime she must stay hydrated .Go to the store and get Baby Pedolite and give a dropper full every hour at least.maybe use a syringe or even a turkey baster or what ever.Yogart, baby food ,sugar Water anything until you can keep him hydrated. That is the most important thing. Then get him to the vet asap.Good luck!!!!

The two worst things a pup can do-or not do is NOT DRINKING AND HAVE DIARRHEA!This is the worst possible combo. she is probly very dehydrated-and needs liqueds BAD! now-if its not as bad as you lead-im sorry for all the spassing-but if it is.....

Ok-so she hasnt had shots? There are about 10 IMPORTANT shots a dog need between 6 weeks old and 6 months old!If they dont get them-they could die, just like if we didnt get some important shot!

Ok-so she has never been walked outside? For five months she has been kept inside? How does she get exercise?where does he go to the bathroom?Im sorry-but im really not getting this question very much-or im not getting you way of raising a pup!

Also-just because its always inside.. doesnt mean it cant get somthing-im sure you go outside, and you can tanfer germs....also-there are germs in the house that can cause sickness!I think it is time for the pups first step out of the house-AND FIRST TIME TO THE VET! while there-you might want to get her caught up on her shots, and get her fixed!

Dont be suprised if she has to stay there for a couple of days-they might want to make sure she stays hydrated!also-she may need other things done! What breed is she??

Please understand i am in no way trying to be rude-or mean,i just want whats best for you and your dog-and i just dont know enough to be speccific!please take your dog to the vet ASAP this is very serios situation that need to be dealt with by a proffesional!Good luck!

I know you posted this 5 days ago, how is your pup? Did you take it in? Unfortunely, parvo can be brought in on shoes and so not having shots makes it difficult. My puppy just got out of the Vet because he only had 2 sets of shots (wasn't do for 3rd yet) and he got Parvo that was brought in to my house on someone's shoes. Mu puppy is home and well but 400.00 later and I have to start the whole series of shots again. Good Luck to you

It sounds like parvo, but it could be any number of other things. Like stated before, parvo as well as many other diseases can be tracked in by people. If it is parvo, and if she dies (which is likely because of her age) don't get another dog before bleaching your entire house and yard. And be sure to get the next dog it's shots or don't bother bringing it home. If cost is an issue, you can go to Tractor Supply and get the "Solo Jec 7" for about 7 dollars. They also carry the 8/1. But you have to go to the vet for the rabies. You made a lot of mistakes with this puppy, but I hope you will learn from them.

Everyone is urgently telling you to get your puppy to the vet. Take all our advice and go. The pup should be on its second round of puppy shots by now. People coming to your house with other dog scents on them maybe even parasites can still infect your puppy. It will be alot more sad to bury your puppy than it will to shell out some money to the vet.

probably worms call some vets and ask the prices for office visits and the first round of shots some are reallr reasonable. you can buy worm meds for pets at about any retail store. all dogs are born with worms it doesn't matter if they are around any more dogs or not they need 2 treatments usually the second is giveb 10 days after the first dose. dogs usually take it without problems they like the taste. dont give to much they are easy to overdose the box will tell you how much to give its according to their weight good luck

sounds like your pup is lethargic. If she has diarrhea she can get dehydrated VERY quickly which is dangerous for a pup. She needs to see a vet it could be worms or something like that. She needs to receive sub cutaneous fluids ( fluids under her skin) That's painless & really makes a difference.Take care of your pup so she will live a long healthy life. If you let things go long enough she could die. Dehydration is
serious!

Oh my.

Why did you get this dog if you can't properly care for her? To be honest she sounds like she has parvovirus. (Parvo is extremely deadly!!) This could have been prevented if she got ALL her shots.

Take her to the vet immediately and have her checked out and diagnosed then have her get her shots. The vet will tell you when to bring her in for the other remaining ones.

Please, if you can not care for this poor thing then find it a better home.

It sounds like your dog has worms. You will definitely need to take your dog to the vet. Anytime your dog is not eating normally, drinking normally, or being as active as usual, it is a signal that something is wrong. Those are the symptoms people commonly use to guage whether or not to take a dog to the vet, and since you've got all three, get your dog there as soon as you can. Good luck.
