Yea, peanut butter is find, and putting it in his Kong is a great idea. Many trainers use it as a special reward. Just remember not to overdue it. Also, because dogs are better about digesting things like protein and fat you don' t have to worry about low fat peanut butter too much. I might try the kind that doesn't have extra sugar in it though. I'm not sure if other brands make it, but Jif's is called Simply Jif. Good luck

A little bit is ok if her digestive system seems to be handling it well. It is very rich and fattening so it should be kept to a minimum...don't fill the whole kong! A little bit will do the trick. Stick some kibble on the peanut butter too! It is best to go with something all natural and not processed. Brands like Jif and Skippy are tasty but filled with stuff that isn't very healthy for your dog.

Peanut butter is fine for your dog. But, try not to give him light or fat free kind, it often has more sugar in it so it still tastes good... the fat doesnt matter in small amounts (like in a Kong)... my dog loooves her peanut butter... sometimes our vet has to use peanut butter treats ot bribe our dog into the exam room, lol.
Limited amounts of peanut butter (NOT fat free/low fat) will be fine... :)

Actauuly, light would be worse. Try using a natural organic salt free peanut butter, it would be a healthier option. But yeah, small amounts are great. I mix a bit of dry food first before stuffing the kong, that way it kinda lasts longer.

Yeah, small, less than a tablespoon a day amounts are good for their teeth (in the kong) and their coat. Avoid the kong stuffing, though, because it's not really made with peanuts (weird?) But if he's getting chubby, many dogs like yogurts or cheeses in their kongs, too.

Get straight up organic oily peanut butter - or make your own by putting peanuts with a small amount of water in a food processor... it really is better without all "the junk" or the salt & sugar..... it is great.. good for getting the "good fats" in & keeping thier skin healthy
try this for for them & for fun for you
Mix course corn meal with organic peanut butter
add some ground up carrot, garlic & fresh chopped parsley
mix to stiff dough
press into shapes
bake @ 350 until slightly crisp
let cool
Viola... your very own doggie cookie that is good for thier coat, good for thier teeth, helpful against fleas, good for thier breath & helpful with keeping the anal glan somewhat expressed on there own

Yeh it's fine, in small amounts. Mine gets it in her kong too.
Kong brand has a peanut butter spread stuff, but it's expensive.

Peanut butter is fine. I use to give my dog peanut butter sandwiches and watch him go crazy trying to lick the roof of his mouth (hilarious). It's chocolate that will kill a dog.

My dog loves it too. I put a knifeful of it on her old bones and it renews her interest in them for hours. I have a kong toy for her too but I found she doesn't persist with it long enough on her own before she pesters me to play fetch with it in the house....and she hopes some of the treat will fall out of it in the process. You could probably also use mashed up bananas in it....that's my dog's absolute favorite treat.
