Christianity has to be true because there are just too many coincidences. The Old Testament talks about a savior coming forth and then Jesus was born.

Also, the New Testament talks about the end of the world and look what's happening now. The historical evidence is clear. No other religion is backed up by science and history as Christianity is.

Nothing in the Bible cannot be scientifically explained with the exception of a few miracles and these come from God. There is scientific evidence of the existance of Abraham and Moses and the ark that Noah built as been found in satellite images.

No one has brought it down yet, but people have brought back bits of wood.

The Bible is infallible and 100% accurate and the word of God.

Scientists who have sense agree. Do you?

I disagree. I have to. there is no 100% proof that Christianity is the only way. I believe all religions are right, and that because I could be wrong, I must be kind and very respectful to non-Christians. People have been claiming their time as the end of the world before any of us were born, and nothing will change now. As for the scientific proof - there is also scientific proof of evolution. It has become a matter of opinion. The Bible is not infallible - it even contradicts itself ( and does so in more than one place). Inspired by God does not mean written by God. God can inspire me to write a book or an essay, but that does not mean that He has written it. No, I can not agree with you.

im sorry but i cannot agree with your philosophy. i myself am not a christian but am very open minded to others beliefs, so i put it to you what if enough people believe in something does that make it a religion, who is it to say that the order of jedi knights for example are not the one true reigion it is after all the fourth largest religion in the world. the bible on the other hand is certainly far from accurate, it bears little resemblence to it predicesors and is simply the product of modification at the hands of the church to form some form of control over its followers. perhaps religion was brought about to make life more bearable as it gives the promise of something more after death. why is it you feel that it is accurate, because it i s so clearly not look upon it as star sign s they are manipulated in such a way that such events are near certain to occur can it not be said that this is what they have done to the bible. i dont dispute the presence of jesus but please remember that the bible was not wrote till sometime after jesus death is it not possible that some of the details of his life and deeds have been distorted. also if you look upon the view that science actually contradicts the bible in so many other ways the theory of evolution for example, in trying to prove the presence of god darwin fundamentally destroyed the fallibility of the bible. who is to say that the bits of wood are from the ark anyhow diversity amongst the animal species would have been destroyed by the flood and so would not have been able to reproduce at a rate which would repopulate the world come on think logically.

99% of people (and you might be among them) consider their religion true because your family raised you in it.
That is one silly thing about religion.

I am all for believing in god, but you really can't believe in something if you've never really considered the alternatives.

If you come full circle after truly opening your mind, and you still think it's the only truth, then you just might be right.

One thing though, the most Christian person of our time was not even a christain. Read about MAHATMA GANDHI. Once an angry hindu father came to gandhi because he son was killed by a muslim mob and he wanted revenge. Ghandi told him the only way he would ever heal would be to find a muslim boy and raise him as his own.
What could be more Christlike? And this is not someone who considered himself a christian.
It's not what you believe as much as who you are, and that is the real truth.

There is no one true religion.

Not everyone interprets the Old Testament as being about a savior, and even those who do don't all agree that Jesus fulfilled those prophecies.

Some people believe that historical and scientific evidence confirm things written in the Bible, but not all historians, archaeologists, and scientists agree on that.

Believe what you want to believe, but don't exaggerate. There is more than ample room for doubt and other interpretations.

blu moon: "The book of Revelation speaks of 'horseless carriages' (cars)."

There is no mention of "horseless carriages" in the Book of Revelation. You're thinking of a "prophecy" attributed to Mother Shipton in the 16th century and someone named Rembordt in the 18th.

"The chastisement will come when carriages go without horses and many accidents fill the world with woe. It will come when thoughts are flying around the earth in the twinkling of an eye, when long tunnels are made for horseless machines, when men can fly in the air and ride under the sea, when ships are wholly made of metal, when fire and water great marvels do, when even the poor can read books, and when many taxes are levied for war." ~ Mother Shipton, 16th century

"God will punish the world when men have devised marvelous inventions that will lead them to forgetting God. They will have horseless carriages, and they will fly like birds" ~ Blessed Rembordt, 18th century

This again? You are engaged in a form of broken reasoning called "begging the question." This means that you are assuming that which you are trying to prove. You can't use the truth of the Christian God's existence as a piece of evidence to prove that Christianity is true. Your argument also contains two other broken forms of reasoning called "appeal to authority" (scientists don't necessarily have any insight into religion) and ANOTHER case of begging the question ("scientists who have sense" just means scientists who agree with the position you're trying to advocate - a meaningless definition).

Your argument stinks on ice. I suggest you learn some basic argumentation skills and try again.

Don't agree . Christianity is the one and only true FAITH. Religion is mostly made up of organizations run by men and men (humans) make mistakes. By the way pictures of the remains of Noah's ark can be seen on the Wyatt Archaeological website.

All data factors to Christianity being the creation of all of the until now religions prepare. maximum - if not all - christian holiday trips the two overlap or save on with up on Celtic, Norse or Roman holiday trips - because of the fact human beings refused to end celebrating it. Examples; Christmas, All Saints' day, Easter, ... Writing would not inevitably date decrease back basically to 3,500 BC. It became in basic terms the earliest data of writing that became chanced on that dates decrease back to that date. Writing could have been in life for hundreds of years even millenia until now and the data could in basic terms have been lost. and how does Abraham fit in with the earliest ever chanced on data of writing? the place is that data of monotheistic interest between 3,500 BC and a pair of,000 BC? From what I bear in mind, maximum civilisations - primitive and basically small - worshipped idols. distinctive idols for various applications. those idols weren't represented via conscious beings each and every time. they simply represented regardless of they have been worshipped for. "The Bible has been shown to be the main precise e book while it incorporates the historic activities." - international floods and the Earth being basically 6,000 years previous? Excuse me jointly as I attempt to not chortle... "there have been diverse witnesses to the miracles of Jesus as is recorded in the Bible. No different faith claims diverse witnesses and could be backed up via diverse writings. there is not basically one account of Jesus in the hot testomony. There are diverse books via diverse authors." the place ARE those different BOOKS?! Yes, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the Son of one True God. You must understand that the Bible says that religion kills, and once we finally have one world government, it will be ruled by the Anti-Christ and his regime will usher in the one world religion which will be pagan.

The Bible is 100% true Word of God and HAS been proven by archaeologists and geologists over and over again. The events such as wars have been historically proven as fact. Men will continue to attempt to disprove the Bible, but it is futile. God is 100% TRUTH, He cannot lie, eg. His word is 100% TRUTH!!!

Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your mind and with all of your strength and your neighbor as your self. Accept Jesus Christ as Messiah and obey His commands. In this you will be practicing the only form of "religion" that cannot go wrong. If you live your life showing God's love to others, His light will shine through you and others will come to know Him as their Lord and Savior, for they will know us by our love.

Many religions parallel that of christianity. Many of the things you pointed out are just obvious. As of jesus's existence there is no true scientific truth of it and the bible was written by many different people. "Many people who identify themselves as Christians, Muslims, or Jews regard the Bible as inspired by God yet written by a variety of imperfect men over thousands of years." Christianity is not the only true religion. There will be controversy in this question.
