I am pretty sure this is a nationwide type thing, and yes. You'd get him in a tremendous amount of trouble if your parents decided to nail him for statutory rape.

If you are being abused, please call the cops. Talk to a counselor at your school. Tell someone you trust. Don't just run away and get both of yourselves in trouble.

If this is a real post, I really hope things turn out OK for you.

You do not state the type of abuse you are in at home. Sexual, mental, or physical? If it is sexual or physical then you can turn in the abusers. As for the BF, yes he can get in trouble and it will ruin his life. No matter how innocent it might seem, he is considered an adult and you are still considered a minor in our state. DSS has came by and interviewed you right? Well if they have what was stated? Did they find merit to continue an open file? If not then there are other options. I do hope you will seek additional help in your situation. If the BF truly cares about you he will want to do the right things to make you safe and wait until you can be with him without their being problems due to the age difference.

Unfortunatly he can get into trouble...try looking into being emancipated...Then just maybe you could be with him...You also stated that DSS was there yesterday you know they may return to take you into foster care....If your being abused is there any family you can go stay with??

I really hope the best for you~

Chances are if you runway to his house and get caught yes he will get in trouble. I'm not sure about the laws of your state but as I said chances are he will get in trouble. I think you just need to tell someone what is going on and try to work something out and find someplace else to stay.

Yes he can get in trouble you have to call DDS and tell them what is going on or you can petition the court to be emancipated, Your b/f can be charged with contributing to a delinquency of a minor, and harboring a runaway, so you have to try to file a petition in court..Have your b/f help you and have him take you to court to get the papers and file them. Age of consent in North Carolina is invalidated so read this.
What is Statutory Rape?

It’s a crime committed when an adult has sexual intercourse with a minor. Who is a minor? Anyone under the age of 18, (or 16; check this list and the current laws in your state.)

What can happen if an adult has sex with a minor? Even if he is your boyfriend? If reported, that person may be arrested, tried in a court of law, and sent to jail. What happens if the sex is consensual and one is a minor? Even if they both agree to have sex, it is still statutory rape.

A. Even if they both agree to have sex, it is still statutory rape. Don’t go to jail for not waiting to have sex. It’s not worth it. You do not want to go to jail! (And I've had sex a lot, I’m well into my 40s. I know its hard to wait, but wait).

Yes. Not to sound harsh but he will be charged with kidnapping and possibly rape. He will be labeled a sex offender and this will ruin his life. If you really are being abused at home, call the police. Tell a teacher, call a social worker, anything but don't ruin this poor soul's life too.

I agree, you should look in to what you would have to do to be emancipated. The problem then is that you would be financially responsible for yourself. I'm not sure if your boyfriend would let you live with him or not. Your awefully young to be in that kind of relationship.

I would also see what resources are available to you in terms of helping you with housing. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
