There is no conclusive inarguable proof of life's continuing after death. I read a book containing a very persuasive deduction by a physician that life ends with brain death. The many descriptions of near-death experiences, complete with the tunnel and light in the distance, the doctor maintained, are not valid since the person relating the vision later had not actually been brain dead; activity was occurring in the victim's brain, and such activity, the doctor explained, would very likely under the critical circumstances of near death be causing just the sort of experience described later (brain activity being electrical in nature). Likewise the allegedly successful seances conducted by (self-professed) mediums to contact those "on the other side" can not regarded as truth since they are open to skepticism and impossible to prove in a logical sense, nor can the numerous reports by individuals of communications with the departed be accepted as unquestionable for the identical reason; such claims can not be proven scientifically. Most of us are reluctant to accept the possibility (or fact) that our current lives are all there is, thus the rationale for human beings having invented the afterlife, yet we may delude ourselves; these indeed may be our only existences here and now!

their are people who have been revived after so called death and they report that they went to the light ,or say they saw their friends and family, before coming back. If that is proof, great , but their are those that say that it's all a dream or hokes. The mind playing tricks.
My father-in-law said that if there is life after death that he would come back and tell us.. He had been dead for over ten years now and his is not back yet. there is no definitive proof as yet, that is one of the questions that we still don't have the answer to.

If you want concrete proof of a higher power in control of the universe, you've got to read a first-hand account by this guy who had a mystical life changing experience while meditating one day. It happened to him at 22 years old, and it was so unforgettable he got his own publishing company together and printed his own book to tell the world all about it. I got instant enligtenment just reading it! It's called, "Heaven On Earth-A Guide to Enlightenment & Human Unity" by Stephen D'Amico. You can get it at Amazon.com or Ameekpress.com. There's really something out there and we're all here for a reason! It'll blow you away!

I have seen no proof of life after death. I just assume that when I die, I'm gone, and my consciousness, my ID, my personality are gone forever. I'm OK with that, though - I'm mostly enjoying my time while I'm here.

We are eternal, life is continuous. You can talk to people about there past life experiences and that may help but I think the best people to talk to are children. Most kids, especially under 5 years have a vivid memory of what their life was in a past life or with God before they came to earth. These kids are too young to "know better" so they tell you the truth.
There are many spiritual references in books and things but talk to the kids and you will see. Simply ask a kid what he or she did, or where they were before they came to Mommy and Daddy and listen with an open mind.

I attended a funeral yesterday and life still continues after he died. That's the most recent proof for me.
Dumb question.......I don't need points enough to try to console you. I'll just "assume" you know little of life and death
.

there is proof but it depends if you want to believe the proof. Regardless of what religion you believe in do you honestly think that after you die that is the end? You just die?

There is no proof one way or the other.
We each need to think this out. I've decided there is indeed a place we go after we're gone, but it's a matter of opinon.

I have no doubt whatsoever, but guess non-believers will!

But no, there can't be much scientific proof, only reports of near death experiences.

Here's a website about it:

NO ONE has ever come back to tell ANYONE what death is like!
ANYONE who says different is lying!
Religion is the futile belief and faith that there is life after death!
And the cut and paste brigade, and the nutcases WILL quote passages out of the Bible to PROVE there is.
But WHO wrote the Bible?
God?
Jesus?
No mankind did!
You may as well believe in Harry Potter, it has MORE credibility!
