No Psyduck... that's why I ask this question. I had exactly that in mind. No offense taken bro'.

Spegon, that's exactly what I mean. But to go one step further with it, do people see the tag and just automatically assume they "must know what they are talking about."

Yeah it works both ways probably. Some probably figure...well he has enough best answers, I'm going to give it to someone else and then there maybe others who are making side bets based on their answers. lol I personally just enjoy the discussion and like furthering my knowledge especially since I have not seen a lot of the fighters discussed.
Often there are untelevised fighters who are mentioned that I hear about but know nothing about so I'm eager to hear opinions. If answers conflict I may waiver toward a top contributor for accuracy but not always. If sources are listed then I can check them out and have a better feel for who's answer is correct.

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand the question. Why would it make them bias about the subject of boxing? Maybe I'm reading the question wrong. And just because they answer more questions than some, doesn't make them more knowledgeable. It just means they have way more time on their hands, or have been at it a lot longer than others.
I don't personally feel they know more just because they have the tag, but I'm sure some people do. Of course I'm a little arrogant, and tend to believe not many know more than me... ha ha!
LOL@ your misspelled apology sentence. Too funny!

I really don't think so. I think that "top contributer" basically means that certain people have been doing this longer than others may have, but it shouldn't sway anyone from giving someone a best answer when they deserve it. Whether a person has 4 Q&A's, or 4,000 Q&A's make no difference to me if they give me the answer that i'm looking for.

The blogbaba is jealous, I can't lie I would like to get a tag like that under my ugly little cartoon caricature. I don't know about bias, but it definately makes the rest of us mere mortals envious.
"Blogbaba top contributer"..... some day maybe,...... but for now just a dream.

I certainly hope not Ric. I know most of you and have a lot of respect for everyone's questions and answers on this forum. It certainly doesn't influence me in the least, but it very well may influence others.

Yes Ric I believe that it does. I don't like it. All peoples opinions should be valued as long as they're not looking to degrade someone.

Yes. And I can't stand it when sputtering twits have the top contributer tags (not that you are one of those, but y'know...)

it shouldnt, but might...it really just means that the person has answered a lot of questions on a subject and doesnt necessarily mean they are that well versed on the subject matter...
