Yes. If I'm dieting, EVERYBODY should eat salads. If I'm horny, EVERYBODY should wear unattractive clothing. If I have a booze problem, the wedding reception should be teetotal.
Complete and utter horsepucky. People decide to acquire their own vices, they can decide to chuck them the same way.

I think you are responsible for your own weaknesses.
Just because McDonalds offers dollar deals doesn't mean it's their fault you eat it every day and become obese,
and just because a woman feels comfortable in a tank top and shorts (but only if she is fine and has a great bod, right?)
is SHE responsible for your 'sinful' thinking,
be it lust, envy, or even wrath.....ispiring some women to use subtle aggression like rumor spreading, gossip or cattiness, or inspiring some men to rape.
The fault is in the weak person, perhaps it's good to bring it out to see how weak that person really is in order to work on that personal defect that person has.
After all it's their own character fault.

I was going to start with a joke, but I can't. I think of myself as a compassionate person who tries, as someone suggested recently, to 'walk in other's shoes'. But in this case I don't seem to be able to get them to fit.
It seems to me that you would have to have a rather warped mentality to think this way. And if that mentality is the result of religious teachings, then I despair.
Whatever beliefs people have, do we not share a believe in free will? And that I am afraid requires us to take responsibility for our own actions.

No, it's not. Everyone has the same capacity for willpower and control. Sometimes a person fails at it, and it is his/her fault. No one else should share the blame. I know exactly what inspired your question. :)

Only if you're breaking the law. Course, there are some laws that should be broken, so let me rephrase. Only if you're being violent. Drugs, gambling, prostitution, you're on your own there - okay, so in reality you're not, but you should be. Truth is, you can't "save" everybody. And more to the point, you can't "save" anybody. And sometimes, you plain don't need "saving".

That depends, are you God? Perhaps you can figure out whether or not my answer is composed of non sequitor backlash or intricate logic complexity.
Have a lovely evening.

No, that is not right. Why should your friends or even strangers be responsible for things that you do or do not do?
