Please don't ever drop an animal off in a field. That is cruel as dogs are domesticated and cannot fend on their own after living with humans. Puppies need to chew - it is natural for them to do this. I suggest putting the wires up out of his reach. Maybe you can tape them up so he can't reach them. Dogs are sociable animals and don't like being alone so locking him your room is too lonely for him. No matter where you keep him, make sure he has some toys and rawhide pieces to chew on. If he doesn't have his own things, he'll chew on your things when he's alone and bored. This dog is still very young so be patient and give him time to adjust to living with your family. He'll be a puppy for another year so give him time to grow up. You'll have the best friend of your life!

My parents did that to me once when I was a kid. Not for the same reasons your dad did it to you, but it still sucks. I cried for a week and I still to this day will never forgive them for that. And this happened 20 years ago. They weren't trying to be mean, it just wasn't working out. Your dad on the other hand sounds like he's just being a controlling jerk. Find out who he gave your dog to and get it back. I would. Just tell whoever he gave it to that it was given away without consent. I'm sure they'll understand. I don't think your wrong from what you've told us. Your dad sounds mean.

I can understand your frustration, but it was not right to talk back to your dad like that. I don't think it was right of him to give away your dog either. I do think that was WAY beyond what needed to be done. I would suggest talking to your dad and telling him how it makes you feel when he talks to you like that. Everyone knows you have to listen to your parents, but they need to hold up their end too. Tell him how it makes you feel and ask that he not tell you, but rather ask you to do stuff. Hopefully he will understand that the way he is talking to you is what is hurting you.
I'm really really sorry about your dog!
Good Luck!

Was the bickering over the dog? Did you take responsibility for your dog?
If it has absolutely nothing to do with the dog, then I say "thumbs down" to a very mean dad.

your not wring at all. he had no right to do that. sometimes moves like that can be so cruel. But it might be a bluff he maybe he gave the dog away intending to straighten u up and may return it wen u do. (if your luky.) I think u should confront him and get your dog bak. but dont go to crazy( like run away or threaten for suicide). good luk

When your dad is gone you will wish you had listened to him and do what he said. Sounds like you need to grow up. If you was my kid you'd have to pick yourself up after telling me your not going to do something.

Oh my god, I am so sad for you...I would be heartbroken to lose my dog. Please ask for counseling in your school to deal with you dad. God bless.
