Has anyone out there ever quit their job to travel? In five weeks time I will be doing just that; I'll be traveling from the American northeast, to the south, then out west to New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, then back east. It's the first time I've ever done anything like this and I was wondering if anyone had any advice that they could offer. I have no new job lined up, nor do I have any plans beyond the end of my roadtrip; you could call it a spiritual journey in search of myself if you want to, but it's more than that; I'm looking for a new way of life, a new place to be, and a new me. Are their any travelers or seekers out there that can share what they've learned from a similar experience?

I have done just that 15 yrs ago. I started in NY and now am in Alaska and my journey has just stoped . My advise is stay true to what your doing and why.. Don't settle just because things get hard and get stuck somewhere your not really happy.. I started out hitch hiking went the same route , south then west.... just keep your chin up and you'll know when you find the place for you in your heart.. Mines Alaska and now I'm here to stay.....

I envy you. Unfortunately I have no advice for you (other than what I'm sure you already know.)

Good Luck!
