As an artist, I'd suggest a buffy yellow for your walls. It will compliment both your upholstery and your carpet colors. Don't go too bright with your wall color; keep a beige tone in your yellow, but don't go too pale, or the bright upholstery will make it look white or cream.
I'd also suggest a patterned rug that will pick up your paint and upholstery colors. Beige, gold and red tones are easy to find in rug patterns; take a look at the rugs offered by Pottery Barn for some ideas. And some throw pillows in your buffy yellow-gold will further tie your colors in together. Have fun!

Hey There!

I was just browsing around on Yahoo Answers and came across this question of yours.

I would personally go with a champagne or metallic bronze finish. You can't go wrong with either one!.

For some ideas of wall colors for these base colors, take a look at IKEA's website and view various rooms... you'll be suprised what you can do!

I’m an IKEA Regional Manager and was informed of a private website at my last regional managers meeting that ended up to be a promotion we’re doing.

This website is giving away several hundred $1,000 IKEA Giftcards for just putting in your zipcode. It’s a marketing campaign they are doing to see what areas of the country people are interested in IKEA!

You can’t go wrong… Just put in your zipcode and get a $1,000 IKEA Giftcard.

You could do some SERIOUS REMODELING for the free $1,000 from this giveaway they are doing!

Heck, you could even get the FREE Giftcard and sell it on ebay and go buy stuff somewhere else with the money you just made!

Pick up some color samples at the store. Eggshell to a very pale yellow would look nice. When you bring the color samples home try them against the furniture and see what looks the best. You could buy or make pillows that have the same colors, red and yellow.

Probably a bold color, or a dark color. The walls and carpet are pretty boring, so I'd go with a bolder color. Since your kitchen has green and blue tones, I'd go with a dark green or navy blue or something like that. :)

You should choose warm colors such as sage, golden yellow, taupe. You can mix and match. There is a lot you can do.
