No that is not correct, child support is never deductible on the Federal Tax return

What you think you read isn't true. You can't deduct child support payments, and if you receive them you don't claim them. That is true no matter how large or small your income is.

You read wrong. There is no deduction for child support payments, regardless of your income.

yeah dreaming there.. spousal support can be tho. there is the tax law for the irs that says you can claim the child if you paid more than 50% support for the child.. but if the court papers say you dont get to claim the child then you cant no matter what you pay
