Any equipment to transfer slides to computer? Some photocopiers did but it was imperfect, wasn't light-tight etc. It needs to allow for curved film and focus. I think film also has much more resolution than digital.

Some scanners have adapters for scanning transparancies like slides or negatives. The adapter essentially backlights the slide during the scan.
There are devices specifically for scanning slides, but they can be pricey. My brother paid $200 for a dedicated slide scanner and it works, but it's really slow and makes scanning very time consuming.
