Sure she didn't say she was going to take you to THE IKEA? I live in Cornwall. We're devoid of THE IKEA so I was curious about this magical place when my boyfriend, who lives in Bedfordshire, said he was going to take me to. I'd heard strange tales about THE IKEA, how it was possible to become lost but survive there for days quite comfortably if you like meatballs and never used the same toilet twice. How you could acquire everything you needed for a perfect home there.
Hate to spoil your fun but it didn't quite live up to the hype. There were kids jumping and screaming all over the place, on the furniture and everything, my boyfriend and I argued about the neccessity of a sushi set (why? He can't use chopsticks and the little ramekins would make nice ashtrays but he has an adequate amount of ashtrays already) and we couldn't wander up and down at our own leisure, there were arrows on the floor we had to follow. On the upside though it's quite easy to steal the little pencils.

Hope this helps.

No, but tell her in exchange for the thick ear, you'll give her a fat lip for her birthday.

a thick ear is where she will smack you across your head with something- a hand, a magazine, a baseball club...

the result is your ear swelling.

Hence "thick" ear= ear swolen in pain.
