In St. Louis we have a place called weekends only and Value City. This is a good place. Target has good items. Try Walmart, Linens and Things, and K-Mart. Under bed boxes are good. Look in the sale adds this week. Furniture stores have a discount section in the back.

Honestly, the best places for cheap storage furniture (and I apologize for suggesting the obvious) are garage sales, swap meets, thrift stores, estate sales and Craigslist. You can get good, sturdy storage for a fraction of the cost of new furniture.

The problem with cheap storage furniture like that from IKEA is that it is soooooo flimsy. If you absolutely have to buy something new and want to go a grade up from IKEA, try West Elm. They manufacture quasi-modern furniture influenced by Panton, Knoll and Eames.

Go to some of the antique stores in your area most of them take things on consignment & have lay-a-way. They have all kinds of furniture modern old ect. & it is not as high as Big Lots that has Crap it cost to much and dosen't last long. Most of it is damaged & scrachted. Also if you go to jones and stores like that they sell the floor models alot cheaper & there is nothing wrong with them. Also penny's outlet & in most states Pier One has an outlet. Good Buys ! Good Luck

Try thrift shops if you are looking for bargains. It's amazing what you can find. It's fun because it is really like a treasure hunt. Another money saver is garage sales or estate sales.
