well when you got it ierced your piercer should have told you all abotut eh after care.. and you are doing may things wrong. liek moving it.. and liek putting neosporin on it..

read these links.. use liquid dial soap onstead of the bar (its more sanitaary) but you really are ony oru way to infection in no time!

im disappointed that your piercer didnt tell you jack sh it... anyways. stop witht he neosporin.. it will stop the discharge from coming out.. and will get lint and otherthings tukc to it.. and most likely drag it into the iercing.. so using neosporin is most liekly going to give you an infection.. also dont use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol. these are harsh chemicals ont he piercing. anyways just do the anti bacterial soap and 1 sea salt soak twice a day...

but by doing yoga you can develop keloids.. since its very irritating.. or hypertropic scarring.. also you will definately increas the healing time for it.. (they can take up to a year to FULLY heal_ you souldnt change the jewelry until 6 months after it has been pierced...

also once its healed you can put a retainer in it but it will be noticeable... so might as well go show your parents what are they going to do? tell you to take it out? lol....

so anti bacterial soap twice a day.. and sea salt soak once or twice a day for 15 minutes at a time with a warm diteilled water salin solution.. shot glass works great for navel piercing.

Ok, your aftercare is totally wrong.

Fist - Neosporin is not to be used on puncture wounds, it say so right on the package. Stop using it immediatley. You're not doing your piercing any good, and its one of the reasons it's irritated. Second - Do not use bar soap on a fresh piercing. It's too harsh and will dry it out and add to the irritation.

To clean it, use warm sea salt soaks (1/8 tsp sea salt to 8 oz warm water) 2-3 times a day for 10 mins each. You can use a q-tip to remove any lymph ("crusties") after the soak.

The movements of your body during yoga might irritate the piercing a bit, but it shouldn't be too bad. I did yoga every day after getting mine done and it wasn't a problem.

You will need to wait at least 2 weeks before changing the jewelry (ONLY if your piercer put a longer curved barbell in and it needs to be switched to a shorter one - your piercer should do this for you) If it's just because you want to wear different jewelry in it (not due to length) then wait a minimum of 6 weeks. Avoid dangly jewelry as it can get snagged on clothing and delay healing.

I have mine done.I'm 34.My 13 year old daughter has hers done,she is 13.
The shop should have provided a solution to clean it with. You could boil salted water, and wait for it to cool and use that.It is really important to let it breathe.Unbutton tops at the bottom.Keep it exposed as much as possible.Turn your bar 3 times per day.We could both change our bars after 2 months. They say 3 months, but two is fine.Everyone at my daughters school has it done.It hurts because it is an open wound. It stings more when cleaning it.
When you are cleaning it try and move it up and down.
Soap on it is unimportant. You need a proper salt solution,or shop bought solution to kill any germs.
I f you use soap alone you could end up with an infection.
Be very careful if you get a long piece of jewellery,it could catch on what you are wearing and tear your skin.

Mine took a couple of months before it wasn't sore any more. Try sea salt soaks twice a day for 2 weeks. The only bad thing I've found is when if gets hung on something.

DONT CLEAN IT WITH ALCOHOL. ouch.
i have mine done..clean it with dial soap in the shower and if it gets irritated use sea salt to clean it...put alittle seasalt in a cup of water lay down and put the cup over your piercing like hold it on it.

dont change it for a few months, they all have different shapes & when you hit a side it bleed like crazy..trust me. wait like 4 months to change it. you can take it out to clean it like that after like 2

Use peroxide on it about once a day and clean it with antibacterial onitment, like actracin. clean it with a q-tip and cotton swabs, don't touch it. if you do then wash your hands first. I had one but it got infected because I changed it a lot. don't change it until 7-8 months after you get it done, atleast 6, but I suggest longer, especially if you have sensitive skin.

my mum had hers done ages ago, she eventually got sick of it and removed it, now she has a big scar and stretched skin. I do't think you can hide it if it needs to breathe. mabye let it grow over and wait till you have moved out, then re do it.

I think that you should have listened to your parents in the first place. Whatever reason that you used to convince yourself to do this obviously didn't include any thought about what may occur afterward. Keep the area clean with alcohol, and let it breath, which neo-sporan cannot.

i know my friend did hers and she uses some 'vitamin e solution' thing you can find in your local grocery or drug store. its helped her a lot, she was stupid for doing it to herself but its not infected and i think its from that .. it comes in a little bottle and you squirt it on - it should help if you're looking for a cleaner.
