Daniel 12:13 As for you yourself, go toward the end; and you will REST, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days.

John 5:28,29 Do not marvel at this because the hour is COMING in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

Sorry, read the bible thumper after...

Death & The Hereafter
Death is not a "disaster" which should be forgotten but an important lesson that teaches people the real meaning of life. It should therefore be the subject of profound thought. The believers ponder deeply on that great reality with sincerity and wisdom. All created beings are mortal, and this shows that they are powerless and unable servants of God. God is the only owner of life; all creatures have come to life by God's Decree and will ultimately die by God's Decree.

This was reported as a true story:
A little girl of 3 was very ill and she almost died. She survived and afterwards her parents asked her if she wasn't scared. She said she wasn't, because her brother was with her.

The wonderful thing about this story is that she had had a brother who'd died before she was born and her parents never told her that. She didn't know of his existence until her near death experience.

There are lots of websites about NDE. Here's one:

I guess that's as far as we can go when it comes to knowledge of the afterlife. That and for us Christians, the Bible.
