How can you tell if your bite isn't adjusted correctly after a recent dental filling? would there be pain?

If after you are not numb any longer, you may be biting differently than when you were in the office for that very reason. If you hit the new filling first because it isa little "high" you will get achey in the tooth. It may prevent you from touching your teeth together on the other side. Even 1 mm can cause aggravation and sometimes only in a chewing motion. Just call the office and tell them you need it checked - takes all of five minutes to fix it.

Oneria is correct, except you would feel a TENTH of a millimeter and even less, let alone a full millimeter.

If you feel that tooth, even an "awareness" of that tooth, the filling is probably a little high and needs to be adjusted. Don't worry. This is painless and takes about 15 seconds.
