We have been hanging out as friends for about two weeks or three weeks now. She is my cousin's girlfriends roomate. So we kind of all hang out together and do things. but for about the last week she has been calling me like once or twice a day to see what I am upto and to see if I want to hang out. but when i am around it seems like she kind of shys away a little bit. She is a very out spoken and energetic person. So i really dont know what to think, we are going out tonight to the bar with a few friends. Can anyone make any suggestions to maybe something that I can do to tell if this maybe has potential or if it is better to keep it friends? Thanks

I know what she's doing. I do the same thing.
When all of you are together, she doesn't show any signs of liking you more than a friend for fear that you and/or her friend, cousin, etc. might object to it.

She doesn't know you well enough to know that maybe it might embarrass you or not. You might not want anyone to know about the two of you. Some guys are like that. They like to keep those things a secret. Why? I don't know but it's true.

She really likes you a lot and she doesn't want to say or do anything in front of others for fear that it might upset you or someone else.

Here's what you should do. Tonight, make sure you let everyone know by your actions and things you say to her, that you really like her more than just a friend.

That she will know that it is OK to flirt with you in front of everyone.
Hold her hand and even kiss her on the cheek in front of everybody.

Tell her you think she is beautiful and make sure everyone hears it.

Good Luck! I think you'll see her change and start being more open with her feelings in front of everyone, once she sees it's OK to do so.

Sometimes when a person who is outspoken they get shy around people they really like. This is usually the ONLY time they don't feel comfortable. It sounds like she likes you. I think you should pursue it. Try small affection gestures to see her response. If its positive go FOR IT! if its not then remain as friends.

Calling a few times a day to see how u are doing and to hang out..either she has NO life or she really likes you. You know her better than I do. Is she a busy person?

Sounds like she likes you, by the way she is acting. I'm a girl so I would know. Also, she wouldn't take the time to call you or go out with you if she didn't have some interest in you. I would simply just ask her if she was further interested or wants to be just friends (Girls LOVE confident guys)...or go in for the kiss and see what happens. =)
