Humans have a natural instinct to nurture and take care of something. Animals need you and they don't judge you. They don't ask for expensive toys or try to change who you are. You feel needed, wanted, important. You have their unconditional companionship in exchange for a little bit of food.
When I'm feeling alone or depressed, nothing like my cat curling up on my chest and purr as I pet him to make me forget all my problems. Or a dog that gets excited when he sees you and you know he has been waiting the whole day for you, because you are the most important thing in his life. Or as a vet, when a dog is in pain and looks at you and lets you do anything, regardless of the fear he may be feeling at that time, but with full trust in you lets you work without any complaining... I realize that animals are grateful and less judgemental than people.

For the companionship and the unconditional love. Pets only expect u to feed them and love them. In exchange they are there for u always. Its hard to explain to someone who has never owned a pet, but I would recomend it to most people. Unless of course u dont like animals.

People get pets for companionship and entertainment mostly. Some pets are also working animals like seeing eye dogs for the blind.

Pets were meant to be companions and also for working purposes also. I have pets because they're my family , they are like children to me. I think a house isn't a home without a couple pets around. I grew up around animals and have grown to adore them.

It's a lot more rewarding and a hell of a lot less aggravating than getting married for the companionship. None of my birds have ever wrecked my car, drained my bank account, trashed the house in a drunken funk, or done any number of stupid things ex-boyfriends and/or husbands have done.

Because I love animals. Right now I have birds. They are fun to watch, and one of them is a canary that sings beautifully. I also enjoy taking care of them, giving them clean cages everyday, cutting up vegetables and watching them enjoy flying around their cage, looking out the window, napping, eating, playing. They're cute.

people buy pets as company. if your lonely its very useful to by 1.then you'll be happy if u were lonely and just bought a pet!!!
