The skeletal system according to "Merck Manual" provides the following functions. #1-Support,#2-Strength,several crippling diseses are the result of "brittle bones",#3- production of specialized blood cells,#4,Storage of minerals,#5-Protection to the internal organs,and the brain & spinal cord.#6 Motion and articulation of the body.the "Musculoskeletal System" one can"t work without the other.Take care. i think they all are functions of the skeletal system... but if I had to pick one I'd say strength. (muscles are more for strength, but they attach to bone, so who knows!)
