If I wanted to break up with my boyfriend for a bit or even take a break or space from us for a while.. but the only thing that changes my mind is that I'm afraid he might meet someone else. I couldn't stand knowing that he's with someone else. Does this mean I'm insecure? What does this mean? How can I stop from feeling this way?

Please no rude comments. I feel bad enough already.

I was going to say exactly what that one guy said, that you want to have your cake and eat it too. You are afraid that if you don't meet somebody but he does, that he won't be there to take you back. Take a day or two and think about how you really feel about your boyfriend. If you have deep feelings for him then stay. If you feel like your feelings have changed or you can't see yourself with this person, then break up with him. I'm not trying to judge you here, but when people say they want to take a break, it's very selfish, it keeps the other person hanging and unsure.

This says that you aren't ready to break up. I think if you know you won't feel right if he's with someone else..then you should stay put and try to find a new way to get some alone time without breaking up or offending him. It all depends on how much you want to have this break for YOU.

Yes, it does sound a little insecure but obviously you want to do what is best for you. If you want to take a break, then he should respect that. If he runs out and finds someone else then he isn't the one for you. I don't know how old you are but you need to take care of you and what you want before you worry about being in a relationship. Good luck!

You may just be insecure in the thought of failing in a relationship. Or you have a specialness in your relationship that you can't bear him sharing with someone else. Either way, you want to stop seeing him for a reason, and it's not fair to him to string him along.

i am not being rude but you are being selfish, because you can not expect him to hang around and wait until you are ready to go back to him,and if you don't want to take the brake from him because you are affaid he might meet someone then deep down inside you know you where not ment to be but the bigger question is why do u want a brake and i'm not sayin brakes and you time is not good because we all need that that is what makes the relationship better for some but why ?

You can`t have it both ways. Either you want him or you don`t. If you think you space than take it but don`t expect him not to see someone else. You have to be real about this. You can`t have your cake and eat it too. You need to make up your mind before you and your boyfriend both get hurt beyond repair.

Do what you feel is necessart regarding space
or temporary break up..explain to him your interest and love if you really are coming back.
But its natural to not want him to get snatched..
but you have to make sure that he knows where the best love is for him....and tell him what you want to work on, and what changes may start.
But dont be insecure show him your strong, confident and have him 2nd guessing what may be lost.
Good luck!

You want your cake and eat it too.
You're not secure in the relationship with your b/f or things would be different and you wouldn't be thinking about breaking up for a bit. Talk to him. Tell him how you feel.
Don't feel bad. Things will be better tomorrow. Give it time - TALK TO HIM.

It says you are confused, untrusting (is that even a word?) and insecure. This is not a reason for staying with someone. Personally I would concentrate on your 'issues' before worrying about being in a relationship.

you want him for yourself? so why break up with him? you can get more space without breaking up.. just.. don't see him as much, do more things with your friends or stay at home by yourself and do whatever you want, you'll start missing him and you'll want to see him, and you'll be happy to see him..

just. my point is.. see him 1 day and then don't for a couple days, see him 1 day and then don't for a couple more days. just make sure you don't act like you're married before you actually are ( i know. i don't know how much u see him, i'm just saying, if you do see him a lot)
