I just installed the "Vista compatible" drivers for my Lexmark X1100 series printer/scanner today. It prints okay but when I want to start the All-in-One-Centre a dialog saying "AIOC.exe has stopped working" pops up and the program quits. So I can't scan anything.

Oh and I tried all the compatibility modes but that didn't work.

The drivers seem to be working fine. It's just a program inside it that's not working. The printer prints okay and the scanner scans if I use the generic TWAIN interface. Although I can live with that, it's just a bit of a hidrance that a program I usually use doesn't work anymore.

I don't have Vista. Does it have the Device Manager as in XP?

If so, you could try going to the Control Panel, System, Device Manager, Hardware. Right-click on the device and select Properties. It will tell you if the device is working properly and give you an option to update the driver.

I think Vista warned that some hardware may not work. See if either Vista or Lexmark has a fix for this.

It may not be Vista compatible, you might have to contact Lexmark and ask about compatible drivers. A few other people on this have also had problems with Lexmark devices and Vista.

Lexmark have not launched abode windows Vista drivers for the Z23 printer, and it would not look as though they'll. there have been drivers for abode windows XP, inspite of the undeniable fact that, so i don't see why you have been experiencing issues of that working equipment.
