i've known this guy for about 3 yrs now and i've been crushing on him since then. after realizing from 2 other guys that this friend of mine is really what i've been looking for, things get complicated. since we share the same group of friends, 1 of my close girl-friends and him had some unofficial relationship in the past. its not really an issue right now coz my girl-friend is now in a new relationship. he should be over this by then right? n it should be ok if ever we do get together, right? he's not in a relationship at the moment. & i've been getting mxed signals fr him...but it doesnt seem to be enough. my situation is not getting me anywhere. should i make the first move?

I think when the woman makes the first move, it turns on a big red flashing light "desperation". I know sometimes a person feel they need to go out there and manage the whole relationship.

He might be holding back because he once dated your close girlfriend.

I'd try and make sure that your close girlfriend is first, okay with you dating him. And second, use her (or a similar friend) to kind of try and suss out how he feels about you. She can ask general, teasing, casual questions. I'd suggest using that close girlfriend only because he's already dated her. But if you use someone else, he'll think that she likes him, and not that she's an ambassador for you.

If you're getting mixed signals, then maybe the best way is to pull him aside and say: What's the deal? I'm feeling some vibes coming from you and I want to know what's going on..

He might feel relieved that you took the first initiative, or he might deny it completely, but either way, you don't have to actually ask him out.

There's nothing wrong wth making the first move. It's killing you that you don't know, right? Well get moving... it sounds like you already have a friendly relationship with him so even if he turns you down, you won't lose face. AND you won't be tortured wth not knowing.

nah!

he is not moving on you

either he is a serious wuss (coz you sound hot!)

or he is not into you (are you?)

i say, let him go

if you make the move - you are acting like a man

and that is a turn off

just be HOT and let them come crawling like lizards!
