If you get As and B's normally then they shouldn't be really mad. Approach it this way....mom/dad, I was wondering if it would be possible for us to look in to a math tutor or a way for me to get extra help in math. I found out I am getting a D and I am not happy with that grade.
I am sure they will understand if you approach them first instead of letting them find out on their own. Good luck!

Well I don't know how you could hide it, but if you could then raise your grade my next report card. Math is my strongest subject. I love math, but I once got an F on a quiz because I got arrogant, I'm not saying that your arrogant, but maybe you will do better next time is what I meant. My parents found out about the quiz, but luckily it didn't pull down my A average in that class. Good luck!

Ok, so have you considered what "not" telling them does to their trust in you? Always be honest.

Now, can you make this up, redo some test, take extra work to improve your grade? Have you asked for help with math? We can't be A students at every subject, but be a passing student in every subject is your most important job right now. If you need to put forth a little more effort, then do what it takes. It will take you a long way in life, TRUST ME. Hugs!

Look I was in the same situation. Instead of keeping things from them write them a letter explaining them what you told us. That your afraid of their reaction. It's your weakest subject etc. They are your parents. Trust me. It's their job to support you.

Who knows maybe you will even grow closer together. They might even help you with math!! :D Good luck!!

I know your situation, I'm 13. Anyway... This always works for me: Wait, and once report cards come out, tell them that yo got a zero because you forgot to put your name on your paper. You'll still get in trouble, but not as badly. Good luck.

I'd only bring it up if they ask, if they don't, then just work harder and try to do better. Math was my worst subject too. I made A's and B's in high school, but sucked in math, so you're not going to "die" or get rejected from colleges just because you're math illiterate like me. lol

Tell them. Tell them you are trying to get a good grade, but you really don't understand it. Ask them for help and tell them you want to get a better grade and are trying but can't seem to.

They shouldn't get mad. They will find out sooner or later.
Good luck.

Math was never a favorite subject of mine in school, so I know how you feel.
