It just depends on how aggressive the collection agency is and how much you owe.
They could file a suit right away or they can sit on it forever popping their heads up from time to time to send you dun letters.

it depends on the hospital's guidelines. Additionally, it has to be beyond the 30 days you have to dispute the bill.

first of all its a long process just to take you to court now if you send then 10 dollars a month they cant take you to court you are making an effort to pay for the medical bill trust me it works i am a collector

It depends on how much you owe them they can take you court pay them something so you don,t have go to court good luck

They can actually sue you as soon as you are in default. That means, if you haven't paid your bill on the due date, you are in default.

Most of them don't do that though. They usually try to collect from you first.
