Where is Heaven ?

... was having a chat to my kids today... my youngest daughter says "Dad where is heaven" ? my son replies its in the sky, on top of the clouds... Well my daughter says if we all move to a different planet does that mean we dont go to heaven ! .... kids eh how do you answer that one ? needless to say my son didnt reply.

Heaven and God reside outside of time and therefore do not have exact locations. Just tell your kids Heaven is way up high and if you move to another planet heaven will follow

Hey Leo! There is a kingdom of GOD within the beleiver(Rom.14:17), and a Kingdom of HEAVEN( Matt.3:2) above the earth, and more than one, The Scriptures teach. In 2 Cor 12:2, The apostle John was taken up into ,"THE THIRD HEAVEN!" And in Palm 115:16, The HEAVEN even the HEAVENS, are The Lord's, but the earth He has given to the children of men.Also Ps.108:5, Ps.136:5 .....1. 1st heaven- (Mark 1:10, Jer.4:25, 14:22, Judges 5:4, Heb.7:26) is earths sky (heaven's)..... 2. 2nd heaven--(job 26:13,Ps.8:3,136:9,Gen.1:16-18) Above the earth's sky, or outer space where Eloheim (Creator) has placed the stars in their orbit (second heaven).....3. 3rd heaven--Somewhere way in outer space, ON THE SIDES OF THE NORTH,(Ps.48:1-3 according to scripture, where The Third Heaven(2 Cor. 12:2) where God The Father and Son and presently located (Heb.8:1), it is soon to be re-located after The present earth is purged with Fire and renovated as it was before the fall of man(2 Peter 3:10-13). We will have a glorified body like Christ had after the resurrection.. There will be two different kings of sight - physical sight and "sight" of the mind and soul.

There are approximately 800 verses in the bible on Heaven.

If you haven't learned anything about that statement yet, I would leave it at that and let them resolve the mystery for themselves. I know it's hard not having answers for your kids, but sometimes it's better that you don't appear to know something.

OH BOY. with all those answers i thought there would be one correct answer. but HEAVEN IS WHEREVER GOD IS.
after the Great white throne judgment God will set up his kingdom right on earth and he will dwell among us . It is at that time that heaven will be on earth. and you can take that to the bank. btw when christ said the kingdom of heaven is inside you he meant you have the capability to attain heaven. Heaven does not literally reside IN you.

I thought this worked well for me. My wife is Christian, I'm not, but I respect the meaning. When my kids asked, I told them Heaven wasn't a place, but a feeling. When asked to elaborate, I told them how could I, I've never been, but I was just as happy being with them. That solved it for me.

there are seven planes of existence above the earth and seven planes below, one of these is heaven.
